Slow Flow Yoga for all Levels - A vinyasa
(flow) yoga class appropriate for students of all levels who
have experience with basic yoga poses or asanas. In this class
we will flow from one pose to another as we move through a
variety of different vinyasas (flowing sequences). Some vinyasas
will be high energy and others will be more meditative. This
slow flow yoga class will also encourage spontaneous and creative
movement within each pose - moving the body in spiral and wave
like motions rather than rigidly holding the pose. Exploring
rhythmic movement within the pose allows for a wonderful release
of tension and rigidity within the body and the mind. It also
increases range of motion within the joints and develops strength
and flexibility.
Power Yoga presents a series of flowing
yoga postures in which the postures are connected and one posture
flows into the next without interruption. The flowing yoga
posture series balances the body by creating internal heat,
breath awareness, deep release and relaxation.
Gentle Yoga - Join instructor Nikki Russell for a non-strenuous, body-kind class that is perfect for students of all ages. Gentle Yoga is ideal for new beginners or for students facing physical challenges that may have discouraged past yoga practices. Modified postures assure that each student reaps the benefits of the wonderful, ancient art of yoga. Exploring the foundations of yoga through asanas and breath work, the student develops a sense of well-being marked by increased flexibility, balance awareness, and deeper relaxation.
Pilates is a class designed to move
the student into strength and fitness very quickly. Pilates presents an
exercise system focused on improving flexibility and strength
for the total body without building bulk. Pilates is a series
of controlled movements engaging the core of the body and focusing
the mind.
